Happy Thanksgiving, all.

It's that time of the year when we celebrate the Europeans sharing a feast with Native Americans and then stealing all of their land away from them. Being part Native American and part European, I am glad at one point it seemed that everyone got along even just for one meal and hope that whirrled peas are on your menu for today's Thanksgiving dinner.

I've had two rival gangs graffitti my garage over the past year. I've tried painting and painting over and over again, but to no avail. Yesterday I did a little graffiti of my own on my garage. Maybe it will send a message, maybe not, but it did make me feel better.

Here's what I'm thankful for:

1) My wonderful boyfriend (We'll call him Nacho here, just to keep a little anonymity). He has gotten me through a really hard time in my life where I've been made a lot of wrong choices, been to hell and back several times, and he ends up re-decorating my room and making Thanksgiving dinner for me today.

2) My little Bro. After 20 years of not talking to me because I am gay, he called me up and asked for relationship advice. Then he got on a plane for his first time and flew out to San Francisco just to spend time with me. We talk on the phone serveral days a week.

3) My mother and my father. They adopted me when my birth mother couldn't take care of me and they had the resources to do so.

4)My friends. Although they've lost a lot of trust in me, tomorrow is a new day and my actions moving forward will earn their trust back.

5)My job and my co-workers. I couldn't ask for a better place to work.

6)My martial arts training and friends. I feel stronger and more confident because of them.

7)My motorcycle + iPod. These two items have made my life come full circle and kept me alive.

8)President Bush - for fucking up the world economy so bad, that national change is happening right before our eyes.

I have everything I need. I'm off to go get ready to give something back. My boyfriend and I are going to church to work to gather food for people lees fortunate than ourselves. Then we're spending the rest of the day together enjoying each other's company.

9) Eye candy. It makes the world go 'round.

This is the most interesting thing I've read in a long time. The sad thing about it, you can see it coming.

I have always heard about this democracy countdown. It is interesting to see it in print. God help us, not that we deserve it.

How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'

'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'

'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'

'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by:
Gore: 19
Bush: 29

Square miles of land won by:
Gore: 580,000
Bush: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by:
Gore: 127 million
Bush: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Gore: 13.2
Bush: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country.
Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United State s is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

I spend a lot of time on this blog trying to raise $$ for my bike fund, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's even worth it. I've received a few small donations, but the work is much more time consuming for me that the payoff for my friend's new bike. I'm not receiving very many commnets, so I don't even think anyone is really even reading this.

If you are, please let me know. One last set of good photos unless I get confirmation that I have an audience..... the first few are a from the pending naked motorcycle calendar i was putting together. I'm thinking about quiting that project too - too much money is coming out of my own pocket and not enought donations are coming in....

Let me know - should I stay or should I go? I have so much content to share. My hard drives are all full!

So I've been blogging anonymously for the past few months and have been considering revealing who I am. Lately, the traffic on this site has gone way up, and I've been thinking about making my posts more personal and adding photos of myself and my friends and our bikes. If you are a gay sportbiker in California or Arizona, you probably already know me. There are only a few people that know I do this blog and I was going to keep my identity a secret, but I would like to start adding personal stuff too.
